Ear Acupuncture is based on the theory that we have a picture of our body and organs on our ears. It is also the case on our face, stomach, hands and feet (the latest being the basic theory in Reflexology). On the ears the body is represented up-side-down, meaning that for example our head is represented on the earlobe. Through the nervous system, special cells in the ears communicate with our brain and meridians. Ear acupuncture has been used in China for over 2500 years and is also known in ancient civilisations from Egypt, Greece, Romans, Russia, Persia and South America. In 1997 the US National Institute of Health has recognised the practice of Ear Acupuncture.
In Ear Acupuncture we use the ear to both diagnose and treat the parts of the body that are not in balance. It usually has a general harmonizing effect. I use Ear Acupuncture as tought in Denmark on the basis of Traditional Chinese Medicine (including 5 elements and meridians).
I often use Ear Acupuncture for pain reduction and stopping addictions, or in combination with Reflexology for an increased effect.
" Tak for helt fantastisk behandling! Jeg lider pt af smerter fra en nylig skade i skulderen - frakturer plus skader på muskler og ledbånd. Under behandlingen med øreakupunktur og zoneterapi kunne jeg mærke varmen brede sig i min skulder og arm, og musklerne slappede af. Det var utroligt at gå der fra smertefri og afslappet. Tak Mada!"
